One of them fired exactly one time and then the trigger will not pull and the slide will not engage.  You are supposed to pull back the pump to load, but when you pull it back, it does not stay back.  Not sure if this is what caused the trigger to no longer engage but something inside is not functioning correctly.  The second one fires, but the shell/dart does not fire properly.  If you load three, it functions as it should loading the shell into the chamber when you pump it, then firing properly, and pumping it again ejects the empty shell and loads the second, which fires properly.  The problem is that it will not load the last shell.  so you sort of need to load a dummy shell at the end in order for the other shells to work.  Totally takes away the way it should work to load 5 and shoot 4.  Also the last shell never chambers properly so it is a matter of time before something jams.  They look cool and when it works appears to be exactly what my kids wanted.  They are just poorly made it seems and were not properly tested as both had issues. Sometimes (if you don\u2019t use a bit of strength) the cases get stuck in the chamber, but not exactly jam. A shake or two can release them. Trigger seems a bit stiff, yet also overly sensitive\u2014not sure how that\u2019s possible. Safety bolt is a nice feature, you don\u2019t usually see those on toys, much less being fully operational. If it was a little cheaper and had a better spring for the reloading, it would\u2019ve been a perfect 5. Side note: would have also loved a black with white accent variant!
