The magazines feed well and the darts fired without much issue. The optic mount broke within the first couple minutes of play however. The biggest disappointment was in the extractor. The spring for the extractor is very weak and does not grasp the rim of the shells which results in failures to extract most of the time. This could easily be remedied if they used a more powerful spring for the extractor. It comes compact in a few pieces, but it snaps together in seconds and is ready to use. The reloading process is a bit tedius, you have to slide the darts into the shell casings, then load them into the magazine so it is a little bit time consuming between firing. It is a single shot, bolt action style rifle, not automatic or semi automatic. For those who dont know the difference, this means you have to pull the bolt back after each shot to eject the empty shell and load a new dart. This is designed for shooting at targets, not rapid fire nerf wars. The scope doesn't really magnify anything at all or have any kind of cross hair or red dot reticle, so it's basically just cosmetic. This is slightly disappointing considering the gun is geared towards target shooting and has surprisingly decent range.
