I love the way it operates just like a real bolt action. The foam darts load into the orange, plastic shells. You load the loaded shells into the magazines and attach to the rifle. Pull back the bolt and push it forward to load the shell. Looking through the included scope are no crosshairs or dots, just a clear view of what you're aiming at. For a toy with a limited range, this isn't a big deal. When you pull back the bolt to load the next round, the previous shell is exjected from the side, just as a real empty cartrige would. With a little practice this thing hits things 15-20 ft ahead pretty accurately. I love going to the range and practing with real rifles and this toy is fun to go through the motions with at home.
