When I gave it to him, it took a little bit to get used to the product and figure out exactly how to use it, and after a bit we got it. It comes with a bunch of \"nerf\" darts, but it will also fit regular nerf darts we found out as well, so that was a nice surprise. It came with two targets and those were easy to set up and withstood being shot a bunch of times with the gun. It is a little hard to pull back the mechanism to shoot the darts, so make sure that you're child has the ability to do so, or you'll have to do it.
